1. Who is Savor the Flavor Catering?
Savor the Flavor Catering is owned by Eleni Vavouris and Joelle Upton, two Certified Chefs who are committed and passionate about culinary artistry.
We strive to deliver top-quality service and creativity on every level with consistent professionalism. From high quality food to unique concepts, our goal is to compliment and exceed the vision of our clients. Our pledge is integrity, courtesy, and customer satisfaction.

2. What experience do you have?
Eleni and Joelle have both earned dual degrees in Culinary Arts and Professional Catering, and are certified by the American Culinary Federation. We have worked at the famed Opryland Hotel, fine dining restaurants, as well as several catering companies to hone our skills. With over 16 years combined experience, we are confident that we can blow your mind!

3. What types of events do you cater?
From corporate luncheons to weddings, there is no limit to what we can offer you. We offer plated sit down meals, buffet lunches and dinners, breakfasts, brunches, cocktail receptions, hors d' oeuvres, themed events, and more. Whatever your event needs may be, Savor the Flavor Catering can do it.

4. What services do you offer?
We are a full service catering company that is a one stop shop. We offer complete menu and event planning. We can also assist you in finding florists, transportation services, wedding cakes, event rentals, photographers, bartending and service staff for your event.

Additionally, we offer in-home cooking classes to teach basic kitchen and cooking skills, as well as more advanced cooking techniques.

5. Do you offer menu tastings?
Yes we do. There is a $100 fee for a tasting hosted at our commercial kitchen or your home. Why you Ask?
One thing you should know about STF is that we take pride in all we do. This includes a private tasting for you and up to 3 guests. We setup a buffet of several food items chosen by you that are prepared fresh and from scratch. We drape the table in fine linen and display china and flatware options (real and disposable, depending on your preference). Eleni & I, the Chef/Owners, will personally prepare the food and will both be on hand to discuss pairings, flavors, ingredients, options, and pricing. We will also share our portfolio with you of past events we have executed, review our policies and procedures and put your mind at ease that we are the right women for the job. In fact, we encourage you to try STF last. We will not disappoint! If you do book with us, the tasting fee will be deducted from your final bill.

6. Do you customize menus?
We customize creative and delicious menus for our clients. We also accommodate guests with special diets and needs. Our menus change with the seasons to ensure foods are top quality and at their peak flavor.

7. Do you provide liquor?
While we do not supply alcohol, we do provide ABC certified bartenders, mixers, and complete bar setup for your event. We can also assist you in determining the quantities of beer, wine, and liquor you will need.

8. How is the event site chosen?
There are numerous venues available for your special function. In order to have Savor the Flavor as your caterer, the reception site must allow outside caterers. If you need ideas for reception sites, please let us know.

9. How much does the average wedding reception cost?
In the Nashville, TN area, the average cost of a wedding reception is $14,000.

10. How much should I budget in food and service for my wedding?
Depending on what your overall wedding budget is, you should plan at least 30-35% to go towards food and service for your special day.

11. Should I have a budget before contacting a caterer?
Yes. You should definitely have a budget in mind before contacting a caterer. Having a budget helps you know how much you want or can spend on food and service for your event, and it also helps the caterer plan a menu that will be within your budget. For weddings, couples should plan at least 30-35% of their total wedding budget for food and service.
